I recently started using a collaboration information systems software by the name of "Google Docs" to complete a group project for school. Firstly, what is collaboration information systems? Collaboration information systems includes the hardware, software, data, procedures and people. All these components work together collaboratively to have an effective information system. There are many collaboration computer programs such as "Google Docs", 'Windows Live Sky Drive", and "Microsoft Sharepoint" These software works between client computer's and the server's computer. There is the advantage of your documents being stored online, and allowing group members to edit and read the document once you have a Google Account.
My experience of using Google Docs was exciting, the document was an online document and when I entered my information it could be seen by the other group members which the document was shared. If more than one person were using the document you can see in realtime the entries which are being made. Also, a group member can edit your your work and make suggested changes, however the changes that they make will not be changed until you or the person who originally entered the information approves it. The approval is done with one click and the information will change on the document.

I anticipate using Google Docs in the future whenever I have group work or if I have a document to share with others.
