Using Social Media (Facebook) to promote my business.

I have never thought about using online services to promote my business. In fact I knew about social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to communicate with family and friends all over the world. However, my knowledge have being expanded to view social media as a free valuable tool which are managed by Information Systems. Information Systems being computer based tools which collect, process and store data which is used throughout the world.

Facebook is one media I am going to use to start to promote my business. It is relatively simple to setup and it is free. All that needs to be done is to setup my profile and any other relevant information that can be entered, including videos and pictures. My account with Facebook will be set up in such a manner that the public can log on and view my Facebook page.

My business will be highlighted with pictures of what I have done and there will be all the information about my business. I will be able to see any comments or likes from persons who visited my page and who were interested and left a like, or a comment. I can also invite people who I know by doing a Facebook search and add them as a friend.

Having friends on Facebook can promote my business faster because my friends will have other friends on Facebook who will automatically see my business either by the system suggesting my page for friendship and whenever I am Tagged by my friends on Facebook.

With this advanced social media for advertising it can be used effectively in promoting my business at no additional cost. A thumbs up for Facebook.
