When you have a business with multiple items that you sell and you want to keep track of them you can use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). It is a very small micro-chip which is small like a rice grain which is tagged to an item or product. It can be easily attached to any item without it being visible. So items with (RFID) can be tracked and it contains digital information about the particular item. Some (RFID) carries a small battery which allow it to operate and be read by the (RFID) reader from hundreds of meters away. There is however (RFID) that are like stickers which can be easily attached to the product similar to a bar code.

Radio Frequency Identification can be tagged on clothing, cash and many other items including human beings. This new technology saves time in a business when data is needed to retrieved from a product. There is also information about where the product should be located and where it should be delivered. An inventory can be easily done, when compared to doing a manual inventory it is much more convenient and less time consuming and laborious.

The use of paper based filing and retrieving can soon be a thing of the past.
